About Jenny Hong

MS, OTR/L, CLT

Founded by Jenny Hong, MS, OTR/L, CLT, this concierge in-home occupational therapy practice is dedicated to helping individuals restore function, relieve pain, and reconnect with a sense of balance and vitality in their everyday lives.

Jenny is a licensed occupational therapist in New Jersey and New York, nationally certified through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). She holds advanced certification in lymphedema therapy through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, and brings over six years of diverse clinical experience spanning outpatient rehabilitation, oncology care, orthopedic recovery, pediatric development, mental health, and women's health.

Her practice is rooted in an integrative, whole-person model of care. Jenny works with clients navigating a wide range of needs—from those recovering from surgery or cancer treatment, to individuals managing lymphedema, lipedema, or pelvic floor dysfunction, to those seeking support for hormonal balance, scar tissue management, or emotional wellness. She also provides developmental care for infants and children, recognizing the importance of early support for sensory, motor, and emotional growth.

As both a clinician and a mother, Jenny brings a personal and professional understanding of the perinatal journey. She is deeply attuned to the therapeutic needs of women during pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery—including the vital role of lymphatic health, pelvic alignment, and core restoration. Her approach is individualized and deeply therapeutic, blending skilled manual techniques, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, guided movement, and restorative practices to promote sustainable healing and resilience.

Professional Experience

From 2024 to 2025, Jenny provided specialized outpatient care at Valley Health System in Ridgewood, New Jersey, focusing on individuals with lymphedema and lipedema, including patients undergoing active cancer treatment as well as post-cancer survivors. She developed personalized treatment plans aimed at reducing swelling, managing pain, restoring movement, and improving daily function. During her time there, Jenny observed a clear need for home-based lymphedema services, as many patients experienced limited mobility, pain, or lacked reliable transportation, making access to outpatient care challenging. Her approach blends manual therapy techniques, client education, and holistic methods to promote long-term lymphatic health and body awareness.

Between 2022 and 2024, Jenny worked in pediatric settings, including the New York City Department of Education and RWJ Barnabas Health – Children’s Specialized Hospital in Union, New Jersey. At the NYC Department of Education, she provided occupational therapy services for elementary students (grades K–5), addressing fine motor coordination, handwriting, sensory processing, attention, and classroom engagement challenges. She collaborated closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies that enhanced academic and social participation. Concurrently, at RWJ Barnabas Health, Jenny supported children with complex sensory, orthopedic, and neurodevelopmental needs, using play-based interventions, motor skill development, and emotional regulation techniques to promote independence across home, school, and community settings.

Since 2019, Jenny has cared for both pediatric and adult populations at ParCare Community Health Network in Brooklyn, New York. Her expertise spans sensory processing challenges, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, upper extremity trauma, mental health diagnoses, pelvic floor dysfunction, and lymphedema. She designs personalized, goal-driven sessions incorporating sensory integration, manual therapy, neurodevelopmental techniques, biomechanical approaches, and complementary health methods such as yoga and guided movement. Jenny develops care plans collaboratively with clients and caregivers to ensure meaningful real-life outcomes.

Inspired by her work with breast cancer survivors at ParCare experiencing lymphedema and post-surgical complications, Jenny pursued advanced training in this specialty. In 2022, she became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. This comprehensive certification included the Vodder technique of manual lymphatic drainage, complete decongestive therapy (CDT), compression bandaging, garment fitting, skin care, and therapeutic exercises to improve lymphatic function. This advanced training enhanced her ability to provide skilled, evidence-based care for clients with cancer-related lymphedema, lipedema, and chronic lymphatic or venous insufficiency.

Jenny began her professional journey in 2018 at West London NHS Trust in Southall, United Kingdom, working in a secure forensic mental health hospital. She supported adults with severe mental illness through individualized, client-centered interventions focused on daily living skills, emotional regulation, and community reintegration. She incorporated cognitive behavioral strategies and complementary integrative health techniques—such as guided imagery, Qigong, progressive muscle relaxation, and nutritional support—to address medication side effects and encourage prosocial behavior. Jenny collaborated closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote safety, recovery, and long-term well-being.
