Scar Management

Restore Mobility. Reduce Pain. Reconnect with Your Body.

Comprehensive Scar Therapy

Scars are more than skin deep—they can affect how you move, feel, and function. Beyond the visible mark, scar tissue may restrict mobility, disrupt lymphatic flow, cause pain or swelling, and even store emotional tension.

Occupational therapy plays a vital role in scar management by addressing these physical, functional, and emotional effects. At Wellness Therapy WoRx, we use a trauma-informed and holistic approach to support healing after surgery, injury, or trauma. Through techniques such as manual scar mobilization, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and therapeutic exercise, we help reduce adhesions, improve tissue flexibility, restore range of motion, and promote comfort in the body.

Scar management can be especially beneficial following C-sections, mastectomies, orthopedic surgeries, cancer treatments, or childbirth, and supports both short-term recovery and long-term well-being. Our goal is to help you move more freely, feel more at ease, and reconnect with your body—inside and out.

Why Scar Management Matters

Our goal is to help you feel whole again—physically, functionally, and emotionally.

Unaddressed scar tissue can impact much more than just appearance. It may:

  • Limit range of motion and flexibility
  • Disrupt lymphatic and fascial flow
  • Cause chronic pain, pulling, or nerve sensitivity
  • Affect digestion, posture, and pelvic function
  • Create emotional tension or disconnection from the body
